Algae Production and Economic Ecology… impromptu discussion

The audio is very difficult at first, it gets better after a minute. Filmed at the State Fair of Virginia surrounded by portable gas burning generators. An informal discussion that leads from Algae Production to Economic Ecology… Kristen holds a Phd. Tom is an Engineer, sorry I misplaced Kristen’s business card, we should be able to get in contact sooner or later and give her her proper credit and find out what’s new.

HELP! I have to write a paper on ecology?

Question by crystal nw: HELP! I have to write a paper on ecology?
I have to write a paper on ecology in terms of population growth and human activites on the environment. I have to be sure to mention the examination of the dynamics of population growth on the environment, explanation of the concept of regulation of population growth through community interactions and the evaluation of the effects of human activites on ecosystems and the biosphere. I do not care for science at all. I have done research but am still confused and do not know where to even begin my paper or what to include in it. It needs to be 700-1,050 words and sound scientific. Any pointers, information, topics, explanations, etc. Help me please.

Dr. Stephan Harding – Part 10 / 10 – Gaia Theory & Deep Ecology

In 10 episodes here on YouTube Dr. Harding lead you into a new understanding of our beloved mother Earth. Earth, or Gaia as he prefers to say, needs to be taken care of now. The human rase is about to amuse itself to death on how we exploit the resources. Inspired by James Lovelock (1919 – ) who is a pioneer and rolemodel in this field. He is an independent scientist, author, researcher, environmentalist, and futurist. He is known for proposing the Gaia hypothesis, in which he postulates that the Earth functions as a kind of superorganism. This qoute from the great philosopher says it all: “All life has intrinsic value, irrespective of its value to humans” – Arne Naess, (1912 – 2009) RIP Arne Næss was the founder of deep ecology. He is widely regarded as the foremost Norwegian philosopher of the 20th century Dr. Harding is bringing it all together!

www.youtube.comChina is incurring huge expenditure in transferring and consolidating the Chinese population in Tibet. Massive investment has been made to build a network of modern highways all over Tibet. China can also boast of having laid the highest railway track in the world that connects Lhasa with Beijing. In fact, China often complains that its civilizing mission in Tibet is costing the government and people of China large amounts in terms of subsidies to an under-developed region. According to official Chinese statistics, the level of annual subsidies to the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) in the late 1980s was around 1 billion yuan or 0 million. However, all the infrastructure that China has built in Tibet has not made the lives of the native Tibetans any better; it has only taken the exploitative apparatuses of the Chinese government deeper.
