    will be interesting to view.

  • It is a shame that the people do not let nature claim the land back, that is more important than building a mall

  • Yeah!!!! I’m on board! Hydroponic greenhouses, urban orchards, community cooking classes, rooftop gardens, biomimicry… Detroit will rise again:)

  • they will find a way to STOP IT!! they ALWAYS DO!!

  • no those MODELS are incorrect! THE ONLY MODELS ARE ROSEWOOD, TULSA OK, and MARCUS GARVEY

  • There are two viable models for America in the future: Cuba and Hong Kong, while the suburbs die. Detroit is going to go after the Cuba model, this documentary suggests

  • It sounds great! The problem is that some people do all the work then some punks come strolling by and pick all the fruit and veggies. Detroit is not known as a city full of honorable people.

  • how many are on welfare or in jail…otherwise economically inactive

  • i love your work. thanks

  • It’s dead? News to me. I’m living here, along with 950,000 other people. Someone forget to send a memo?

  • I complete agree with you! This is a Great video!

  • I always thought that Detroit will fail if it tries to become ‘the next Pittsburgh”. But an opportunity to redefine “urban” and become a model of a green city seems well suited to the city.

    Good luck.

  • The city is dead. In order for it to thrive again, you need the basic requirements for living.

First, detroit needs to be safe. Youre dream will never become a reality until people feel safe enough to live there.

  • Thanks. I’m hoping to get things moving after the new year.

  • interesting topic, just got back from detroit myself and went to see a number of fams. potential seems huge, not only because of vacant lots but also because of the absence of proper food in some parts of the city (people dependent on gas station shopping). i’dd like to see how you develop your story, all the best

  • Thanks. When things get going I’ll be posting segments of the program.

  • Looks like a good documentary. Though lately I’ve been watching mostly documentaries on youtube.

    Good luck with this project.

  • Great idea, Mark! I live downtown Detroit and would love for vacant lots to be turned into natural parks or other useful purposes. Can’t wait to see the documentary.

  • Thanks Justin.

  • I really liked this, keep up the good work and amazing editing.
