www.demographicwinter.com Synopsis Demographic Winter: Decline of the Human Family One of the most ominous events of modern history is quietly unfolding. Social scientists and economists agree – we are headed toward a demographic winter which threatens to have catastrophic social and economic consequences. The effects will be severe and long lasting and are already becoming manifest in much of Europe. A groundbreaking film, Demographic Winter: Decline of the Human Family, reveals in chilling soberness how societies with diminished family influence are now grimly seen as being in social and economic jeopardy. Demographic Winter draws upon experts from all around the world – demographers, economists, sociologists, psychologists, civic and religious leaders, parliamentarians and diplomats. Together, they reveal the dangers facing society and the world’s economies, dangers far more imminent than global warming and at least as severe. These experts will discuss how: The “population bomb” not only did not have the predicted consequences, but almost all of the developed countries of the world are now experiencing fertility rates far below replacement levels. Birthrates have fallen so low that even immigration cannot replace declining populations, and this migration is sapping strength from developing countries, the fertility rates for many of which are now falling at a faster pace than did those of the developed countries. The economies of the world will continue to contract as …

@spaceman1958 except that it’s the western countries experiencing the decline, so we’ll have a world with very few europeans left, or none. and a europe/north america full of mexicans, arabs and africans (those who dont? use contraception)

Your hypothesis about lackanooky could be partially right.
However, my concern, is your lack of understanding about population. The popularity of myths does not make them true. The Population Research Institute uses CIA and UN data to explain the true population status of the world. Norway commissioned an audit on five UN agencies, which shows the overpopulation myth is a money maker for the UN, and corporations that it contracts with.?

@marcporter77 oh I did notice and areas of the world such as Canada, Russia, etc. that are having the local pop declines are a stark contrast with places such as India, Pakistan, China and? so on where their populations are bountiful enough to emigrate. I blame a lot of our declining population on being too damn busy elsewhere other than the bedroom. late night dramas on TV rather than nookie. Compare this with the 14th C’s black death and pop rebound from that.

@marcporter77 Most of? the decline in fertility rates, by far, can be accounted for by greater access to contraception, empowerment of women, rising affluence and urbanization which makes small families an economically sound choice. Yes, that is a much gentler path than what happens when populations reach environmental limits to growth.

@spaceman1958 You call 400 million forced Chinese abortions, and sex selection abortion in other Asian countries, a”gentle population? decline”. Do you call the increase in breast cancer, from abortion and artificial estrogen birth control, a gentle way to decrease the population?
Is the increase in HIV among women who take progesterone birth control a gentle method? Is the economic decline worth it?
These are experts speaking. We are tired of scientific suppression of data.

@LutefiskSavage You have not been? doing your research. Did you notice that the contributers are renowned scientists?
Russia has had abortion since the 1920′s and they are now scrambling to grow their native peoples. They are paying couples to have babies, as are other under zero population growth countries. Depopulation reaches a critical level and then there is a free fall in population. Russia is worried now, that they don’t have enough people to defend their country.

The choice is gentle population decline through a reduction? in fertility by personal choice, or traumatic population decline by reaching the limits to growth caused by over population.

A lot people can feel stressed and claustrophobic in crowded situations…Too many people inside and given area is never a good thing. People need space and privacy to feel comfortable, thats why most? live in the country and work in the city… Life is all about quality, not quantity.

it is truly fustrating to watch someone butcher evolutionary psych. men are driven to produce children because sex feels so goddamn good and because helping kin (anyone for that? matter) produces hormones (ex. oxytocin) that make you feel good.

@LutefiskSavage? We are not overpopulated at all. Every one in the world could fit in Jacksonville. Twice. Just because cities are congested does not prove overpopulation, it just proves that morons exist and apparently are more comfortable close together…

is it truly logical to watch a decline in population as complete doom and gloom. We currently are over populated by about 2 billion people on this planet for ecological stability. This is? critically over populated in certain regions while other regions are not so overpopulated. Yet the developed world seems to be universally reacting by choosing not to breed. I think we get too much news which is stressing us out in the bedroom.

@abolishtheirs I took a road trip with my son recently who is now a man and we both? cried (two grown men crying, imagine that) when the subject was brought up that occurred a decade ago. I will never forget what the State did to us and the costs I and my son have paid are too numerous to list in this forum from the financial aspect to the emotional aspects.

I wish you luck in your endeavors.

Marriage is no longer a moral obligation or commitment. Marriage has literally become a 3 party polygomous contract with the nameless faceless entity that is called the State! In begging for permission to be joined in a civil contract with the State, YOU? and your spouse generously give your lives and childrens lives over to the State! That is how they control you and punish you so severely when you decide to ‘divorce’ and fight for custody. Marriage is a GODLY institution, not MAN’S.

If this videos purpose is to further the agenda of a conservative or religious group by encouraging marriage per se, they are beating a dead horse. Marriage is on the decline, people especially men are tired of being taken advantage of by ex-wives and the corrupt State system, family courts, attorneys and? incompetent judges. As for the death of marriage as it stands in the U.S., I celebrate it’s death and hope we can progress to a more equitable male/female relationship status.

And while I have a wonderful relationship going on close to 10 years I will not get married via the State. I also discuss this issue with our Sons and any other male that is desiring marriage & I convince them of the sacrifice & harm that they will be doing themselves & the power they will be giving the State over them by falling into marriage.

It cost me over $300,000 to fight for my child in a? custody battle, the financial & emotional costs extracted by the State were too high.

While this video makes some valid points, the main point that we need a larger number of births can be achieved without promoting marriage or by promoting multiple wives within a marriage. I assure you if a man had 5 wives our? birth rate is increase.
…..
As for marriage and the power it gives the Church and specifically the State, I can assure you that I and hundreds of millions of other men will never fall into that trap again. I have a great woman that I live with as man and wife.
