how to get the job you want in the navy or other military branches?

Question by : how to get the job you want in the navy or other military branches?
hi everyone, in want to join the military. i am 25 years old at the moment. i am originally from Romania, i have been in the US three years now. 2 weeks ago i took the ASVAB and scored 88. I am very good with languages i speak fluent in two languages other than english (russian, romanian) i am also good with french, i believe that i can easily learn spanish, italian, and Portuguese since they are very similar to my native language. i also have a bachelors degree in economics
My understanding is that since i am not a citizen (i have a ten year green card) my job options are limited, because i cant get a security clearence, i was thinking of becoming an interpreter or if i cant get that to do logistics. i asked my recruiter about options he told me he has no idea and that he cant even access the jobs list. i asked him to tall me at least to tell me what jobs i qualify for based on my score and he didnt answer. Right now hes is processing my paperwork for MEPS, i am not sure what happens after that cause he was very vague with everything.
Can anyone advise me how to present myself better so i gent get a job i am interested in and how to make the recruiter work for me?
I would also like to get more details on the whole prrocces of enlistment as far as job selection goes?

thank you

Answer by redleg_army
It isn’t a secret or a mystery….you will get:

1. What you QUALIFY for
and
2. What is AVAILABLE on the day you go to MEPS

You aren’t going to get something you aren’t qualified for nor are you going to get something that isn’t available….simple as that…as you can imagine the US military, being a HUGE organization, has thousands of people entering and leaving daily. Job availability changes on an almost daily basis because of that. A Recruiter has absolutely NO say over job availability or openings. His job is to process paperwork and get you to MEPS to enlist.

Can I get into Texas A&M or UT austin?

Question by Dotsrus: Can I get into Texas A&M or UT austin?
As I am about to send in my applications, I need to know if I stand a chance of getting into Texas A&M. If it helps, at A&M I am applying to the school of Geosciences and for a second choice major I am applying for Classical Archaeology in the College of Liberal Arts. Can you please chance me at both schools?

Lastly, during Junior year I had mono that caused me to be absent for 17 days of school(nearly had to repeat junior year). It dropped me from the top 15% of my class to the top 28%. In my guidance counselor’s letter of rec she included that bit of information. Will it have any affect on admissions, or does it extend out of the reach of “special circumstances”?

euronews interview – Turks have right to free movement in EU – Turkish FM

www.euronews.com Ahmet Davutoglu is seen as the architect of the new Turkish foreign policy over the last decade. Political scientist and historian, he is often dubbed “the Turkish Kissinger”. Turkey has become an important regional political and diplomatic state, overcoming years of neighbourhood tensions. He has been talking to Euronews on Syria and the impasse in Turkey-EU membership talks. Bora Bayraktar: “Minister thank you for joining us. Syria remains a hot topic these days and the crisis continues. The Annan plan has given more time to the regime. There are efforts to unify the Syrian opposition and a buffer zone option is also on the table. All this will take more time. Does the continuation of the crisis spell trouble for Turkey?” Ahmet Davuto?lu: “Off course. Continuation of the crisis does not only spell trouble for Turkey but for the whole region, because the geopolitical location of Syria is critical. It’s in close interactivity with all its neighbouring countries. It’s a very important neighbour of Turkey. Any tension arising from Syria has the potential to affect all the neighbouring countries. Therefore leaving this issue to time and observing the situation by standing back and waiting is not the right option. The international community must step in to prevent the crisis becoming a major cause of instability.” Euronews: “Do you see any risk of armed conflict?” Ahmet Davuto?lu: “There are already heavy clashes in Syria.” Euronews: “Could it spread beyond

Can I get into UCLA/UC Berkeley?

Question by Rake: Can I get into UCLA/UC Berkeley?
I’m currently a Junior in High school, hoping to be admitted to either UC Berkeley or UCLA. Any (all) advice is welcome and greatly appreciated, especially concerning Extracurricular activities. That specific area is my weakest link, and I’d like ideas on how to bolster my extracurricular standing during the remainder of my high school time.

Unweighted GPA: 3.8ish
WGPA: 4.3ish

IV. Other notes
1) My first language was Arabic
2) I’ve played guitar since I was 7 (strictly recreational)
3) I will have accumulated 100+ service hours from Green Club;
volunteering at events and routinely disposing of recyclables after
school.
4) I’ve been invited to several summer academic events (i.e.
congressional leadership, Vanderbilt’s PAVE), and have the
opportunity to attend one this summer. Is this event worth
attending?
5) I’m also very worried about my summer, college geometry
course score (B), as it brought my class rank from the top 5 to
something in the 20s, and also hurt my weighted/unweighted
GPA pretty bad. However, my guidance councilor told me not to
fret, as since it’s a 1 month college course, most universities
consider it to be like an AP or honors course.

I’ve read on various sites that in my personal essay, I should dedicate at least a paragraph to something that I’m extremely passionate about, or a perspective/life changing event. I’m passionate about anything medical, however, I feel as though I have nothing to write about on the that subject; ironic, I know.
So ultimately, am I on track for UCLA/UC Berkeley, and is there anything specific that I can do to help me further on the track?

Best answer:

Answer by ownpool
You are on the right track. You are smart to plan ahead. However, leave everything which indicates religious belief or the lack of it off of all college application materials. Colleges are not interested in it.
If you are president of your non-religious organization and want to indicate your leadership position, you can all the organization “a philosophical interests organization”.

This year’s TAPA is focused on encouraging production development and efficiency, and enhancing competitiveness within the ASEAN Economic Community, or AEC, set to be launched in 2015, and also in gaining greater benefits in the commercial and investment markets, which will help Thai entrepreneurs in expanding their markets to ASEAN member countries.

“At this event, visitors will find new and eco-friendly products and innovations for keeping the world green, helping to reduce pollution and global warming as well as saving energy. In addition, Thailand and 400 foreign companies will be displaying vehicles, auto parts, spare parts, and accessories, including Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, USA, Germany, UAE, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan and China, providing a great opportunity for Thai entrepreneurs to show off their strengths as industry leaders and the center of automotive manufacturing in the region. The event is organized primarily for the launching of new products, services, technologies and innovations to new buyers from ASEAN member countries, South Asia, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Africa and the EU,” said Mrs. Nuntawan.

Mrs. Achana Limpaitoon, President of the Thai Auto Parts Manufacturer Association, or TAPMA, said that not only will eco-friendly products and innovations for keeping the world green be introduced in TAPA 2012, but there will also be exhibitions and seminars related to automobiles and the environment under the concept of this event, such as eco-car exhibitions, which will showcase a range of eco-cars focusing on energy saving innovations from the top 3 automobile companies: namely, Toyota, Nissan, and Isuzu. There will be a seminar about Green Technology where representatives of the Thailand Society of Automotive Engineering will be key speakers, sharing their ideas on how to live with eco-friendly technologies. Natural Treatment and Maintenance of Prostate Enlargement with New Thermobalancing Therapy Improves Men?s Well-being in Safety States Fine Treatment

Natural Treatment and Maintenance of Prostate Enlargement with New Thermobalancing Therapy Improves Men’s Well-being in Safety States Fine Treatment

Dr. Allen’s natural device treats prostate well without BPH drugs and surgeries

London, UK (PRWEB) May 26, 2012

When unpleasant symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) begin to disturb, it is the right time to start using new Thermobalancing Therapy in order to stop the prostate enlargement progression, and prevent general health from unsafe drugs and surgeries, Fine Treatment reveals. All other natural methods of prostate treatment have to be used continuously for years which make them extremely expensive and, moreover, their efficacy is limited. It is the reason why the unsafe and even more expensive drugs and prostate removal procedures are widely used.

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), “An enlarged prostate means the gland has grown bigger. Prostate enlargement happens to almost all men as they get older. As the gland grows, it can press on the urethra and cause urination and bladder problems.” It is clear that BPH is related to aging, like memory efficiency or reduced bones density. Men should not stick to BPH drugs for life or cut their prostates as new Thermobalancing Therapy treats a prostate in safety. Dr. Allen’s device improves the blood circulation inside the prostate tissue that helps to restore it naturally. Please watch a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5xidswhxJM.

The American Urological Association (AUA) states that men have to take drugs, like (Proscar and Propecia) finasteride or dutasteride, for 6 to 12 months to achieve lower urinary tract symptoms relief, and these medications can cause sexual side effects including ejaculatory abnormalities and erectile dysfunction. Other commonly used medications, such as (Flomax) Tamsulosin and Alfuzosin, should be taken for years and can develop dizziness upon standing, vertigo and ejaculation disorders. Regarding a prostate surgery the AUA explains that the erectile dysfunction occurs because the nerves that stimulate the penis for an erection sit near the prostate.

“Instead of harmful BPH medications and surgeries that have become an integral part of older men’s life, Fine Treatment offers the new effective therapy,” says Dr. Simon Allen. “Men don’t need to worry about drugs side effects and complications after surgeries, while receiving a natural prostate treatment with Dr. Allen’s therapeutic device.”

Dr. Allen’s device improves the prostate condition at the capillary level without BPH drugs or surgeries. You can read more at http://www.finetreatment.co.uk/prostatetreatmentbph/prostatitistreatment.html.
